Old Fashioned Home School

How We Were Home Schooled Before It Was Fashionable This has nothing to do with internet marketing, but I love it. For those of you over 50, many of you heard these words directly from your parents. For you younger folks, this is exactly Most of our generation of 60+ were HOME SCHOOLED in many ways. 1. My mother taught me TO APPRECIATE A JOB WELL DONE. "If you're going to kill each other, do it outside. I just finished cleaning." 2. My mother taught me RELIGION. "You better pray that will come out of the carpet." 3. My father taught me about TIME TRAVEL. "If you don't straighte...

Faststone Photo Resizer

The Easiest, Most Simple Photo Resizer - FREE! Anyone working with images on the web, often brings in large photo files that need to be reduced to work efficiently online. If you've ever opened up a webpage and noticed a photo taking a long time to load, you can see the issue. Most images off a camera or phone, by default, are upwards of 3K megapixels, way too large for web work. There are a ton of applications to resize images. Here's a free one I use all the time. It's called Photo Resizer from Faststone. It's very intuitive unlike most of image applications I've seen today. Here's a ...

Prairie Peak Kennels

We had an in-ground dog fence installed by Jack Lelwica of Prairie Peak Kennels of Parker's Prairie, MN near Alexandria. Jack called me as they were having issues with the current web service. I offered to update the SEO on the site as well as add online Dog Adoption forms to line up potential buyers. They breed Small Munsterlanders, Britanny's, and Corgie's. What started as a simple assignment, turned into a complete rebuilding of the site. I think I understand why he was having issues with the previous web service. Jack was a very demanding client and I believe this contributed to the ...

Windows 10 vs Windows 7

Windows 10 better than Windows 7. Here is  a post from a trusted programmer friend of mine: Scott Jibben (Runspot) for those of you that are gun-shy after the Windows 8 debacle. For those of us that had to uninstall the disaster that was Windows 8 and replace with the trusty 7, you may have major reservations on jumping into Windows 10. There are a few  things you should know. 1. Windows Media Center is no longer supported or allowed on Windows 10.  This software is used to record/play TV (with a TV tuner card) and most people do not use it (I do...).  Most people will use Windows Media...

Bar Harbor Supper Club

Bar Harbor Supper Club is a famous lakeside bar and restaurant located on the north end of Gull Lake. It's colorful past is displayed on some of the many photos and memorabilia from the 40's and beyond. A fire destroyed the restaurant many years ago and it has gone through several changes of ownership and remodeling. The restaurant is now one of the classiest places in the entire Brainerd Lakes area to dine and relax. The ownership wanted a website change to reflect the current motif and the wide selection of menu choices. We added a reservation widget to the home page to allow for...

Glendive Astoria Hotel

The Glendive Astoria Hotel is a brand new lodging facility in Glendive, Montana. There were two key initiatives for this project. The first one, design, was easy since they wanted it to look exactly like the Dickinson Astoria Hotel & Event Center.  The second issue was SEO and we needed to position the facility prominently in the Glendive region. Glendive is known best for rock hunting and paddlefish coming out of the Yellowstone River. It's a nice community and one of the main attractions in eastern Montana, as well as a base for exploring other attractions, especially to the south of...

Used Oil Heater Replacement Parts and Burners Used oil and other similar fuels can be used as an excellent source of fuel for heating furnaces , boilers, and other machines. Five Steps to Winning Sales

BAMsites was approached by a young lady representing her father, Daniel Holte. As an extremely successful business man and salesman, Dan with the help of his daughter, wrote a book on Selling. I was skeptical at first with the level of competition for self-help business books, but was intrigued after meeting and talking to the two. Five Steps to Winning Sales is more than a book of technique. It is filled with detailed time tested processes that eventuate in successful sales and life styles. Dan Holte took $2,000 (after a career of selling to banks) and turned it into a 15 million...
